Perrotti, from Ormond Beach, Florida began her training at the tender age of 7. She is now a professional artist as proficient at portraiture as she is at painting landscapes and people in the open air. She studied impressionism under the tutelage of Robert Brackman who was a student of Henri. She says sooner or later one must turn to nature as the ultimate source. "My main concern is to render a true light and purity of color. Painting is my life; my vocation...my joy and my inspiration."
Barbara currently teaches oil painting, acrylic and pastel, with an emphasis in plein air through weekly classes, workshops, demos and lectures. Her paintings are exhibited and collected widely.
