Perrotti, from Ormond Beach, Florida began her training at the tender age of 7. She is now a professional artist as proficient at portraiture as she is at painting landscapes and people in the open air. She studied impressionism under the tutelage of Robert Brackman who was a student of Henri. She says sooner or later one must turn to nature as the ultimate source. "My main concern is to render a true light and purity of color. Painting is my life; my vocation...my joy and my inspiration."
Barbara currently teaches oil painting, acrylic and pastel, with an emphasis in plein-air through weekly classes, workshops, demos and lectures. Her paintings are exhibited and collected widely.
