Cheek was inspired to begin painting en plein air by a trip to Monet's gardens in France in 2001. Having worked in watercolors for a few years, she is now versatile in both oil and watercolor mediums. She maintains signature status in Georgia, Louisiana, and Tennessee Watercolor Societies. Her paintings are found in both private and corporate collections nationwide. She has a studio in northwest Georgia where she is a full time artist.
