Maureen E. Kerstein, a full time artist painting in both traditional watercolor and pastel, enjoys developing unique experimental techniques that have been published in various art magazines. Maureen's work can be viewed at Gallery 209 on River Street in Savannah. Her work can also be seen in The Grandview Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia and La galerie du Vieux Village in Quebec, Canada.
Although Maureen has taught weekly classes and workshops since 1993, this year she has decided to take a break from teaching to allow time to concentrate on her personal path as an artist. Along with painting and promoting of her work Maureen has decided to venture out more from her home studio to paint outdoors. This has led to her current venture of organizing a group of outdoor painters that meet at least twice per month called The Plein Air Painters of Savannah.
